Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What is Virtual Classroom Software, and what does it do?
    • Virtual Classroom software is educational software that allows your computer to function as the blackboard, overhead projector, and video monitor present in any classroom. The materials your Instructor displays on screen can instantly be seen and interacted with by any participant in the class.
    • Your Instructor can make marks and notations on any of the PowerPoint slides, graphs, maps, approach plates, diagrams, and pictures used to teach the class in order to emphasize important points.
    • Your Instructor can toggle control over the classroom materials to ANY Student participating in the class. This feature allows your Instructor to ask a Student to demonstrate solving a problem so the entire class can see the work on their own computer screens.
    • A control panel allows Students to indicate to their Instructor that they have a question, have left the room for a moment, etc.
  2. What type of computer and equipment do I need to have in
    order to participate?
    • Any modern computer capable of browsing the internet (Note: For minimum PC specs for the Virtual Classroom software we use, please visit www.adobe.com/vc.)
    • A telephone (We recommend a line that has unlimited long distance. If you don't have such a line, please consider www.skype.com, or a similar vendor that allows your computer to be used as a telephone for a very small fee.)
    • A high speed (broadband) internet connection.
  3. Do I have to download or install any software on my computer?
    • No. The Virtual Classroom software is hosted on the internet. All that is required is the ability to reach the site.
  4. Why does each class only have 7 slots?
    • Seven is a manageable number for both the Students, and the Instructor. It allows ample time for Students to ask questions, without interrupting the flow of the course.
  5. Will I have to do any studying after the class to pass my FAA Written Exam?
    • We recommend that our students take several practice tests after completing our courses. When a student consistently achieves a 90% score when taking the practice tests, they are usually ready for the real FAA Written Test. Students should plan to take their FAA Knowledge Test within one week of completing our classes, so the knowledge remains fresh.
  6. Do I need to buy any additional books or materials to attend your courses?
    • No. However, for Students who wish to have additional resources to support the learning process, We will be glad to suggest various helpful publications, websites, etc.
  7. Will I receive the Instructor Logbook Endorsement that I need to take to the FAA Test Center in order to take the FAA Written Exam?
    • Yes.
  8. Do you guarantee that I will pass the FAA Written Exam upon completing one of your courses?
    • No. However, if you fail, you may attend an additional course at no cost to you.
  9. What happens if I pay for a course, but cannot attend on the date I scheduled myself for due to extenuating circumstances?
  10. If I have any additional questions, how can I get them answered?
